Jordan Segundo is an extremely talented singer who has accomplished more at the age of nineteen than most singers do in a lifetime. His pursuit of success in the music business lead him to the “American Idol” auditions in Los Angeles in 2003 where he was chosen to be one of the 32 Finalists. Over seventy-five thousand singers across the nation lined up for the auditions and Jordan Segundo earned the Judges’ nod of approval repeatedly becoming the first singer from Hawaii and first Asian performer to obtain a spot in the Finals gaining national recognition and the support of his home state, Hawaii.
Jordan’s popularity has skyrocketed since his “American Idol” experience. Since then he has performed for President Bush at a prestigious banquet in Hawaii, with Kenny Loggins at his CD release party, for the Lakers’ Games in Hawaii, with The Honolulu Symphony (sixty piece orchestra) several times and many more performances locally and on the mainland. Jordan has been featured on numerous magazine covers and been interviewed on international television shows like “Balitang America” and “Probe Team” and national shows like “Stir T.V.” and local shows such as “Emme’s Island Moments and her Christmas Show, “American Idol” specials and even doing commentary on the KHON-TV News. The public has seen him on numerous commercials including “Subway” and The Clean Water ad campaign.
Jordan released his first CD Single in June, 2004 and is now proud to announce the release of his first full length CD featuring ten songs in a variety of styles that is sure to please all ages. Original songs on the CD include an emotional ballad entitled “So Many Reasons” written by world famous singer/songwriter Glenn Medeiros, an acoustic style island contemporary song, “I’m Gonna Love You Anyway” written by well known entertainer, Justin Kawika Young and an upbeat tune with an island feel called “Count On My Love” written by Producer Dave Tucciarone. Jordan debut’s his songwriting abilities in two of the recordings: “Be The One” and “Secret Fantasy”. Although young, Jordan’s vocal versatility allows him to include creative renditions of classic tunes such as “I Just Wanna Stop”, “Livin For The Love of You” and a unique duet with Kanoe Gibson (Miss Hawaii 2003) on “Let’s Stay Together”. There are even a few songs with an alternative flavor: “When I Get You Alone” and “Calling You”.
