About the CD

Travelling back to simpler times when everywhere you go Hawaiian music filled the air. Memories of Hawaii Vol.3 is an assembly of the classics from the hitmakers during the 50s to the early 70s. This new cd contains masterpieces from the amazing musician Sonny Chillingworth to the audience-captivators Billy Gonsalves and the Paradise Serenaders. Innovator, arranger and master ukulele player, Jesse Kalima also amplified his music in this collection.

urthermore, 1992 HARA Lifetime Achievement Awardee, Eddie Kamae’s mele is sure to tingle you with the his melody and chords. Melveen Leed’s version of the 1940 Mexican hit song "Besame Mucho" is a sure jaw-dropping-good track. Adding on the list of legends in this compilation is a great singer and an ever greater humanitarian, Bill Kaiwa with his "Molokai Nui". These Hawaiian treasures and more with the likes of Leinaala Haili, Iwalani Kahalewai, Billy K and the Seamen, George Paoa, The Danny Kapoi Trio and Lucky Luck created the fresh sounds thus reshaping the history of Hawaiian music for everyone.
