When a group of missionaries are found slaughtered in Perm, Russia and the Russians’ top genetic scientist turns up missing, a single
potato arrives in Hawaii starting agent Jim Rikey on a quest to find out how this potato is linked to his uncle’s murder in Perm. Viktor,
a top Russian FSB officer as well as Taka Matsuura, a wealthy Japanese businessman, are prepared to use all of their resources to
retrieve and exploit the genetic secrets this potato holds before Jim can uncover the shocking truth.
Haruko, Jotty, and Jim are reunited, and Eddie Popp, a CIA operative, joins Jotty’s NCTC team on their mission to prove that Taka is the
leader of the deadly Red Summit terrorist group. They must stop Taka from using the secrets of the genetic modifications before millions
suffer the consequences of the Kona Snow. And just what is the significance of the weaponized anthrax found on a dive boat off the Big Island?

A teacher by profession, Terry Fritts spent many weeks combing and traveling throughout the Big Island of Hawaii
conducting research for Taka, his first novel. Along the way, he has made many friends
and acquaintances and has sought ways to incorporate a few of them into his stories. Kona Snow is the follow
up to Taka, and continues to trace the adventures and exploits of the protagonists,
Haruko, Jotty, and Jim. A third novel, Aioka is currently being written for release in 2008. |
