Synopsis:
|
|
Imagine tropical drinks that go beyond the token fruit wedge or splash of grenadine but instead, utilize the bounty of fresh fruits
and food staples found here in the islands – drinks that shake up our notion of happy hour, going beyond the typical Mai Tai or a
Blue Hawaiian. Now you can entertain your evening guests with tangy and tasty refreshments or brighten a lazy Sunday afternoon with
creative and colorful thirst-quenchers that even the whole family can enjoy. Here is a collection of cocktails and nonalcoholic
beverages sure to dazzle your taste buds and senses that offers a twist of island flavors for everyone.
Readily available essentials such as papaya, coconut, and Kona coffee make these cocktails easy to toss together. It’s easy to stock
your bar with the necessary ingredients and each main ingredient is fully described, including shopping and preparation tips for optimal
taste. For tropical cocktail traditionalists, cool rum drinks with sweet mango or crushed pineapple, like the Okinawan Mango and Pineapple
Fizz will be sure to please. Maverick taste buds are sure to like the potent Poi Pounder Punch or Red Dragon, made with dragonfuit and any
partygoer passionate about exotic fruit will delight in the Lilikoi or Lychee ‘tinis. An overview of basic bartending concepts and techniques,
replete with the lingo will instantaneously pass you off as a professional mixologist, and the overflow of palette-pleasing possibilities
will fill afresh the shaker with blends sure to stir the imagination!
