Catherine Becker, Ph.D. is a professor of Communication at the University
of Hawai‘i, Hilo. Through her experiences living in Hawa‘ii, she has become deeply connected to the natural and cultural worlds of the
islands. It is her belief that Hawai‘i ha the ability to transform the lives of all who are touched by its beauty and power.

About The Illustrator:

Doya Nardin’s illustrations of Mana Cards depict the spiritual nature of
Hawai‘i to bring forth the spiritual nature of the viewer. Her published works include an illustrated MO: Tibetan Divination System
from Snow Lion Press. She painted Mana Cards at her home on the remote slopes of Haleakala Volcano, Maui.
