Three PLUS is doing it again. The album has 10 tracks, 7 of them original songs; with a couple of classic remakes by the Stylistics, Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff. “We are tremendously excited about this release,” says Steve Holmberg of Aloha Music International, distributor for the CD. “Our commitment to the Hawaiian music industry is total and we are proud and happy that Three Plus has chosen us to get this CD to market.” One of the classics on the disc, Betcha By Golly Wow, by the Stylistics is a love ballad done island style and will definitely take you back in time. Another lead song on this release, Undercover Lover with lyrics by A. Tanoa Kapana (fondly known as the voice of Three Plus) and music by Shawn Pimental is sure to be an island music hit which will keep you coming back for more. The title track “For You” features the voice of Namahana and the Ragamuffin Rap stylings of Jen Wright and Zaysha Labrador of Kanalo. One of the best songs on this newest CD, Do What Lovers Do is a fun feeling sing along with a catch melody that shows off the true Three PLUS sound. In 1999 when their first CD "Honey Baby" was released, the newest band on the scene Three PLUS became an overnight success. “Honey Baby” produced at least 6 solid hits and was considered by many a true Hawaiian Classic. According to local music expert David Daniel’s, “Because of the success of Honey Baby, Three PLUS went from anonymity to celebrity, practically overnight. No one was bigger than Three Plus after Honey Baby. Honey Baby was huge because of it’s broad appeal with everybody, mom, dad, the keiki, even grandpa & grandma!” After 3 years, cuts from "Honey Baby" are still in high rotation on Hawaii's top three local Hawaiian radio stations. Their new project being released on February 19, 2002 at record stores statewide, "3+4U" promises to deliver another touchdown! Three PLUS's newest release, 3+4U was produced by KooPs2 Entertainment, headed by Shawn Pimental. The new CD will be distributed by Aloha Music International, the newest subsidiary of Booklines Hawaii, dedicated to the promotion and perpetuation of the local Hawaiian music business.
