Tiny Tadani’s latest effort is his 3rd Compact Disc entitled “Xtreme Xmas” produced by himself and Afterthought Entertainment. This CD is not just Christmas carols… it features 20 songs that exemplify the spirit of the holidays. The reason for the title of the disc was for it’s Xtremely diverse talent and songlist, not for any wild Xtreme music. In fact, it falls in a more acoustic/easy listening style that the whole family can enjoy.
“Celebrate Me Home” by Justin and Jevan Paisley is a remake off of Kenny Loggins’ first solo LP. Although the first words of the song are “Home for the holidays,” this tune is a year-round hit that can be played on any format.
“The Gift” was re-done by Dita Holifield and Ellsworth Simeona… better known as Dita & Ells. Backround vocals from DisGuyz and an ukulele solo from Acoustic Soul’s Mike Okouchi turn it into a local-style version of Jim Brickman’s original.
Another strong cut is “The Christmas Song” by ‘Ale’a. With a light jazz/Hawaiian flair, the adult-contemporary radio stations will jump on this standard Xmas tune
Ilona Irvine’s take on the Carpenter’s classic “Merry Christmas Darling” will surely be a favorite for all ages.
And two songs by The Kamehameha Concert Glee Club give both credibility and authenticity to the Christmas project.
Other notable names on the CD are Melveen Leed, Norm, Acoustic Soul, Jan Brenner, Forte, DisGuyz and Pastor Wayne
Cordeiro.
Newcomers to listen for include Tiffany Thurston, Epic Session, Crystal Mateo, Kimi and the Xtreme Praise & Worship Band.
And as always, local producer Tiny Tadani takes it to “Xtremes” with a free Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut in every CD.
