Known for their Motown tunes and energetic
performances, Five By 5 became one of Hawaii's best performing
groups. They released their debut album "Coming Home" in 2002.
They're back with a new sound and a new motivation-to say, "Mahalo,"
to those artists in Hawaii who influenced them. Their musical
journey continues by taking a different road with "Fond Memories
(Hali'a Aloha)."
With pleasing harmonies and impressive production, Five By 5
presents 16 favorite Hawaiian songs including "Pua Lili Lehua,"
"Far Too Wide," and "Kipa Hulu" (featuring Robi Kahakalau). A
heart warming addition is an original called "I Will Remember,"
written for Loyal Garner. Each track is crafted beautifully and
packed with aloha.
"Fond Memories" reflects gratitude and a true spirit of giving
as Hawaiian music is meant to be shared. Five By 5 gives back to
artists like the Brothers Cazimero, Emma Veary, Dennis Pavao,
and even Simplisity who paved the way for them. May this album
bring "Fond Memories" to those who listen and continue the
legacy that is Hawaiian music. |
