Marty Dread is known as the Reggae Ambassador! As a recording artist, radio disc jockey, and live performer, Marty Dread draws inspiration from his tropical home on the Hawaiian island of Maui and spreads it around the world.

Marty Dread has released seven of his own recordings, including two that have been nominated for "Best Reggae Album of the Year". Marty Dread also appears on the new compilation CD, Roots Music III "The Jawaiian Experience".

Marty Dread has been performing on stage for more than a decade. His energetic, crowd pleasing show has opened for many reggae greats, including Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse, Jimmy Cliff, Black Uhuru, Inner Circle, Aswad, Third World, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, The Wailers, Yellowman, Pato Banton, Don Carlos, Eek a Mouse, Chaka Demus and Pliers, The Congos, and more. Marty Dread has also performed a number of times with Willie Nelson.
