Waiehu Records is once again honored to bring you another collection of music from Ekolu. The album is entitled, "Ekolu Music" and
is the follow up to their Hoku award winning and top selling album, "Back to the Valley, The Trilogy". This album has that
distinctive sound that people recognize as Ekolu’s music. The album has 13 tracks, with 10 originals. It has been a decade since the start
of Ekolu and their title track on the album "Ekolu Music" shares a little insight to their start together. This album once again
shows their musical versatility and their love of all styles of music. The cover songs range from "Armonia De Amor" a spanish love
song to a song made famous by The Manhattans, "Do you really mean Goodbye?", and of course there is a reggae oldie but goodie,
"Dim the Lights". The original music has its share of love songs like "She’s music to me" and "I Love you, Girl",
these songs are Lukela’s trademark love songs that fans love singing along to. The album also has those songs that lyrically tell us a story
and gives us insight to what the boy’s love such as "My Island Home, Maui" and "Closer to Jesus". "Ekolu Music"
has something for all music lovers, and like the rest of the music that Ekolu has been bringing us for the last decade, everyone will find
something on this album to enjoy.
