The album consists of 16 tracks produced by the Hawaii Music Award winning producers, Laiku Soares and Chris Jay. Kese of the BMG Records group "Coming of Age," Junior "Joon" Mika of Making the Band, Season 1, Kenneth "Mikey" Aiolupotea, and newcomer Moses "Mose" Tuala.

Necessary Rukkus Volume 1 demonstrates true creativity by fusing traditional Polynesian instruments with today’s music such as "When You’re Not Around," an R&B mid-tempo song with a Hawaiian Steel Guitar. The dance-floor driven hip-hop cut, "Get Loud" features the To‘ere, a Tahitian drum.
