About the CD
The trilogy album is made with the same winning formula as
Collection I & II with a special bonus of 3 new songs arranged
by Kelly Boy De Lima, featuring the debut of his 3 children-
Kapena, Kalena and Lilo.
"Home grown" – sung by 17-year-old Kapena, who started
performing with his father at the tender age of 10. To his
credit, Kapena has engineered these 3 new releases. Among his
other accomplishments, he has produced two CDs in his recording
studio – BU Print Studios, while being a full-time musician,
singer, and student. He has just begun to expand his musical
gifts, which will be further developed and perfected at a sound
college this fall.
This song also showcases Kelly Boy’s two daughters – Kalena
(14-years-old) on saxophone and Lilo (11-years-old) on trumpet.
The horn section adds a new dimension to the always amazing
talents of Kelly Boy.
"Lost in love" – lead vocals done by Kelly Boy De Lima, who
brings back this 80’s hit by Air Supply. Daughter Kalena and son
Kapena, blend their voices in sweet harmonies to accompany him.
"Sixteen" – a remake of the duet previously performed on the
Kapena Stylin’ album by Kelly and his wife Leolani. Kapena
and his sister, Kalena, whose sweet voice will surely take your
breath away, now perform the duet.
After 20 years of entertaining world-wide, Kelly Boy has always
managed to evolve with the constant changes that his profession
requires. His Godgiven talent has been passed down to his
children and is evident through their performances at their
shows and on this album.
His family is without a doubt a musical family that he has
trained and groomed to bring us joy for the heart and soul of
every listener.
Kelly Boy is a true credit to the music industry and the leader
of the group Kapena. Kapena has long been and continues to be
one of the hardest working bands in Hawaii.
