Kama Hopkins, Kekoa Kaluhiwa and Kanai‘a Nakamura have assembled an extraordinary mix of Hawaiian songs performed in the styles of Hawai‘i
of the 1940s and 1950s as well as the more contemporary Hawaiian music scene.
You’ll hear their original compositions, old standards such as Ia ‘Oe E Ka La and Hana No E Ka ‘Oi, a religious song Hea I Ka Haku, and the
works of Hawaiian musical greats such as Lena Machado, Johnny Almeida and John Pi‘ilani Watkins. Among the musicians gathered on this musical
gem is maestro Aaron Mahi and Jeff Au Hoy on steel guitar and piano.
