supergroup, Andy Cummings & his Hawaiian Serenaders, features
Andy Cummings on guitar and lead vocals, Ralph Alapa`i on
'ukulele, Joe Diamond on bass, David Nalu on steel guitar, &
Gabby Pahinui on slack key guitar. Gabby Pahinui is remembered
today as the premier exponent of the Hawaiian slack key guitar.
Andy Cummings vast musical talents, radiant personality, and
prolific songwriting kept us company for 81 years, from 1913 to
1995. Andy's appeal to all generations stemmed from his unique
and refreshing approach to songs both old & new as well as an
easily recognizable sound featuring his clear & lofty falsetto
vocals.
