About the Authors | Tom Aki is an entrepreneur who has owned a plant nursery business, and a fruit juice and tea company. Most recently, he has ventured into the construction industry. He drew from his own childhood experiences to serve as inspiration for his children’s books and his vision is to empower keiki with positive values, kindness, compassion and believing in ones’ self to accomplish any task that you set your mind to do.
Elizabeth Lee was born and raised in Hawaii, where her parents helped foster an appreciation for nature and the outdoors through weekend hikes in the mountains. She earned her BFA in Art History from the University of Colorado, and graduated with a Professional Diploma in Elementary Education and a MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Hawaii. |
